Monty Residence, designed by Studio Lark, is a contemporary addition to an existing residence in St. Louis County, MO. The project integrates a new, autonomous living space for the owners on a sloping site, offering sweeping views of the nearby rolling hills. A key feature is the main hallway, imagined as a small art gallery. Skylights create dramatically lit interiors, and the design emphasizes a high level of material quality and detail throughout. The north-facing primary elevation and the ever-changing natural light throughout the day presented photographic challenges.
