4220 Duncan - St. Louis MO

4220 Duncan, designed by HOK, is a multi-tenant commercial building in St. Louis' Cortex Innovation Community. The building's most distinctive feature is its iridescent facade, which shifts in color and reflectivity depending on lighting conditions. This presented a photographic challenge, requiring multiple visits to show this quality in full effect. Situated in a formerly underused industrial area, 4220 Duncan houses office and lab space for entrepreneurs, researchers, and tech companies, as well as anchor tenants like Microsoft. The design aims to create a visually engaging presence within the surrounding area that is still undergoing a transformation.
